Forest Ethics has been protecting forests and wild places for the people and wildlife that depend upon them since 1994. To date, more than 65 million acres of forests will be protected because of Forest Ethic's work. Current campaigns focus on establishing a National Do Not Mail Registry to bring a halt to junk mail, and on fighting global warming by stopping further development of Canada's Tar Sands, the single largest and most destructive fossil fuel project in the world.
Half of the world's poor suffer from waterborne disease, and nearly 6,000 people, mainly children, die each day by consuming unsafe drinking water.
Safe water interventions have vast potential to transform the lives of millions of people. Water filtration tools not only provide safe drinking water but also have a positive health impact on the most vulnerable populations, including young children, pregnant women and those with debilitated immune systems.
